INWORK Webinar: Workplace mental health support for the Midlands

November 12, 2020
Online Webinar @ 2.30pm
2:30pm - 12:00am

Employers! Are your staff happy, healthy and motivated at work? Do you want to reduce sickness absence and increase productivity? Are you worried about the impact of Covid-19 on your employees’ wellbeing?

Many employers are seeing an increase in the number of employees experiencing mental health problems, resulting in long-lasting negative impacts such as anxiety, stress, absence and reduced productivity at work. The estimated annual cost of mental health to employers has increased 16% since 2017, and is now up to £45 billion (Deloitte, 2020).

Scientists at the Universities of Warwick and Birmingham, alongside mental health charity Mind invite Midlands employers of all sizes and from all sectors to take part in a new trial. The trial aims to address existing or emerging mental health issues and their impact in the workplace, keeping employees healthy, happy and INWORK.

Depending on the individual need, support available through this pilot might include digital tools to help with sleep or mood problems or guided adoption of new strategies to remain mentally healthy and engaged at work with the support of a specially trained mental health professional.
