Contracts Finder helps users to find public sector procurement opportunities. It is aimed at potential suppliers, in particular smaller businesses and voluntary or charitable organisations, who are interested in doing business with government and public sector bodies. It is also a critical part of delivering the government’s commitments for transparency in procurement.

Central government procurement opportunities and awards above £10,000 and wider public sector opportunities and awards above £25,000 are available on Contracts Finder.1 Contract opportunities from a wide range of public sector bodies are published on the site, including:

You can view opportunities that are currently open and also awarded contracts. You can find ‘future opportunity’ and ‘early engagement’ notices which are early alerts for forthcoming procurements. You will also find subcontracting opportunities with major government contractors who may be required to advertise on Contracts Finder for higher value contracts.
Each individual notice gives details of how to apply for a contract, for example, via the public sector organisation’s electronic procurement system. Contracts Finder is free and you do not need to register to search the site; however, registration enables you to save searches, set up email alerts and ‘watch’ notices.
