Multiply scheme adds up to benefit Staffordshire businesses

November 9, 2023
Businesses across Staffordshire are being encouraged to upskill their workforce this #NumberConfidenceWeek with fully-funded, bespoke help.

Multiply, which is a fully-funded scheme by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, is designed for businesses to help its employees build confidence when working with numbers in the workplace.

With no homework or exams, Multiply is designed to teach maths skills through activity-based workshops, either as individuals or in groups.

Staffordshire County Council has instructed Acorn Training, Buxton and Leek College, Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group, South Staffordshire College and the Training Initiative to deliver the Multiply programme to businesses of all sizes across the county.

Did you know?
  • Over 60% of Staffordshire businesses say that their workforce needs more maths skills for the workplace. Do you?
  • This scheme is designed to help build confidence and remove anxiety around maths and numeracy for people who need these skills as part of their job, without it being a really ‘big deal.’
  • When a business signs up for Multiply, the commissioned college or training company will consult very closely with your team to find out your specific requirements and devise a bespoke programme within the Multiply framework to ensure the are delivering sessions which meet your needs.
  • This is not ‘off-the-shelf’ training. There is no one-size-fits-all approach for Multiply.   The providers work with you to develop the support that fits around your needs.
