Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub has teamed up with experts at Finpoint – a business credit broker with a ‘whole market’ approach.
By filling out a simple form online, SMEs can receive expert advice on credit and finance options that can help them grow their business through investment in new premises, equipment or machinery.
Guy Bridge, Chief Executive Officer at Finpoint, took part in a quick Q&A session with Growth Hub to help explain to businesses how Finpoint can work on their behalf.
Q: What is Finpoint Ltd?
A: Finpoint is a credit broker for businesses. Essentially, we look at the whole market and with the aid of our digital capabilities, help to find the right financial products for SMEs that are looking for working capital or growth finance.
We work with Growth Hubs and similar organisations across the UK because that’s where small businesses turn to for help when they are looking to invest in new equipment or expand their operations.
Q: Is now the right time to be looking at borrowing to grow?
A: The market is opening up and lenders are being more flexible in recognition that this is a challenging time due to increased costs.

Q: What will it cost me if I apply for credit through Finpoint?
A: Finpoint is a credit broker, not a lender, which means we will work with you to explore the options available for your needs and help you consider which, if any, of those products you wish to utilise.
We will not charge you a fee. Instead, our payment comes from the lender we arrange your loan with. This is typically a commission payment, with the amount decided by the lender. We cannot influence those payments or be influenced by the varying rates offered by different lenders. Our duty is to obtain the most suitable form of credit for your circumstances.
